The Chicago MC stands up for LGBTQI rights..

More Vic Mensa More Vic Mensa

Only days after pride rallies all around the world, themselves in response to the recent tragic mass shooting at an LGBT nightclub in Orlando, Florida, Vic Mensa has taken to Twitter with a rousing open letter to announce his support for LGBTQI rights and call on the world to do the same.

Continuing on, Vic Mensa turned to Soundcloud to release his latest track to the world in 'Free Love', a protest piece in support of equal love and rights for all. Featuring contributions by Lil B, Halsey, Malik Yusef and openly gay rapper Le1f, the extraordinary effort stands itself apart as a call to arms for the equal love movement, as well as further evidence of Vic Mensa's sublime talents as a solo artist.

Expected to drop debut studio album Traffic later this year, and hot off the release of his There's Alot Going On EP, Vic Mensa is quickly announcing himself as one of the greatest modern acts in the hip hop genre. More importantly, however, Vic Mensa continues to offer a profound show of support for the minorities and the oppressed - of particular significance in this instance as, in hip hop as a genre, most artists continue to remain quiet on the issues of LGBTQI rights around the world.

'Free Love' is a joyous, moving experience if only for that reason alone. Listen below.
